This is a beautiful and amazing hand painting limoges France, tressemann - vogt large fruit centerpiece bowl decorated with hand-painted bunches of hanging cherries, blackberries and grapes green pastel background. The pictures don't do justice. It has a nice ping to it as well. Simply stunning and just picture how it will look on your table for display. The mark dates from 1892-1907. The bowls are 11.75 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches high. This would be a wonderful addition on any collection it is in very good vintage condition given that it is well over 100 years old. There are no fleas or cracks or madness, a little wear to the filling. Gustave vogt (1849-1937), took over the limoges branch in 1870 and joined with Emilien tressemanes in the early 1880s. In 1891, they bought two small porcelain factories in the suburb of Montjovis (limoges) and produced high-quality white goods for export to the United States. The company was commissioned in 1891 to produce a dinner service for President Harrison. Tressemann retired in 1907 and gustave vogt became sole owner and changed the name of porcelain gustave vogt. In 1919, martial reynaud bought the company and continued to use the brand and its own brand reynaud. The reynaud porcelain remains in operation today.
