Antique asparagus service tray franish per five-lille as described on page 88 of artichokes and asparagus in barbotine by maryse bottero. This particular service dish and also assorted plates are now very difficult to find and indeed quite rare.

It would have been used for asparagus or artichoke. The French have a love story with asparagus and artichokes and as such, the fiancée frannais made specific plates, dishes and sauce boats. There is a couple of weak hair cracks on the underside of the insertion tray that do not come through the rise that I have photographed. Dimensions: 36 cm x 25,5 cm.
