Beautiful Italian pot in ancient soft yellow-green terracotta. Very old, it dates from the mid-1800s. Beautiful golden cream color with three bright green stripes for decoration. These pots have been used for the preservation of meat or fish in the cellars of Italian cuisines. Rare high model, these pots are incredibly hard to find. Hight: 8.7 (22.1 cm). Upper diameter: 5.1 (12.9 cm). Contour: 14.9 (38 cm). The pot shows its long age with several traces of wear such as terracotta shavings, glazed flakes, a hairline (see photo 4) and some tea stains, these marks indicate its authenticity. It's beautiful how the soft pink of terracotta combines with the yellow glaze. Please see photos for more details.
