Bourbon Barel Top Lazy Susan With Metal Ring, Lazy Susan

  
This lazy susan is made from a real bourbon barrel roof. I also add a metal ring around the cannon. I clean the rust of the ring and coat it with 3 layers of lacquer to keep it clean and to prevent rust from coming back. The top was dried, cleaned and sealed. I coat every top with three layers of semi-gloss lacquer. There is a stamp on each top that is original from the distillery. Some stamps are better than others. These peaks are about 22 inches in diameter and are about 21/2 inches high. I add a piece of plywood to the back of the top to hold it together and a piece for the lazy mechanism susan to sit on. The backs are painted in black so they melt and are not so recognizable. I also add felt pads to make sure they don't harm anything they sit on. This item can be made with any of my logo engraved tops.

Not all cannon heads are identical. Some peaks are darker or lighter than those of the photos. There may be cracks between boards and they may not be perfectly flat. This happens when the peaks dry after years of being soaked with bourbon.
