Fran Ais Biggin Enamel Coffee Pot With Warmer, 1880's, Christmas Gift

  
Extremely rare large blue and white old French flower in Parisian coffee enamel - coffee maker and filter - with charcoal enamel water heater. Both are original, authentic French antiques, circa 1880; in excellent condition. The coffee maker is a very rare large size. This is one of the oldest pieces of ancient French enamel I have ever encountered.

It would have been among the first pieces made at the end of the 19th century. It is complete and in an extraordinary state. The handle is flat, instead of rounded, which later became the norm.

You will also notice that it is riveted, not welded, to the body. Welding came into common use around the 1920s.

Another wonderful clue of his age is the elegant beak, conu to look like porcelain; it too is riveted, not welded. Even further, it is easy to see that the base has been added as a separate room. All these features confirm the authenticity and age of this beautiful coffee maker at the end of the 19th century.

This is a rare and historical example of early French enamel. What makes it even more remarkable and very collectable is its pristine state. There are no major fleas or damage, just a few minor wear fully in keeping with his age (please take a close look at the photos). It is decorated with delicate blue and white flowers and hand-painted blue nets along the contours of the beak, handle, lid and base of the filter and coffee maker.

The charming décor is of high quality and in very good condition without damage. The filter is complete and in very good condition with normal wear.

The inside of the pot is clean and intact without holes. 16.5 inches high (with filter and lid). 10 inches high (without filter). 11 inches wide (beak to be handled).

4.75-inch diameter at the top and bottom of the filter. The pot of coal pot. I offer this superb room with a coal heating in antique enamel assorted (but not identical), by japy brothers (it is signed on the bottom). This rare piece is magical in its details - look at the 3 feet of wonderful lion claw, the delicate blue and white floral décor and the intricate cutouts on top of the stove. 10.5 inches wide from one handle to the next.
