These scales are epic in size and much larger than most art deco scales of this period, which leads me to believe that they were made for a store. They are made from cast iron and extremely heavy and durable and painted in black in this case. The sundial, although aged, is still clearly legible. The stainless steel pan does not seem to be original because it is not the best fit, but still serves a purpose, but if you bet to use the scales, you would need to place a weight of 3 lbs in the pan to balance the scales to zero.
These types of ladders are not offered for sale very often and make ideal photographic/cinematographic accessories or display accessories. As they are extremely heavy to post, I did include the expedition to the United Kingdom, but please message me for other countries. They measure 19 inches x 16 inches, including the pan. They weigh more than 10 kg. Discover my other decorative scales.
