Some will say she's lazy, a little bit in fact, she's just a deep thinker. Rather than getting up to pass the potatoes to you in the gratin, it simply turns around. An innovator in his time. This clever design features white oak sawn in quarters. The quartered scion gives the wood these fresh wavy ribbons in the grain called bone marrow rays (fancy enough). It is heavy, hard and the most stable cut, which means that it is unlikely to inflate or shrink with temperature changes. The cotton white finish is a natural rubio monocoat hard wax finish. It is extremely durable and easy to take care of. Just wipe with a damp cloth. It is an oiled finish, which means it works from the interior of the wood. It does not form this hard plastic layer looking that we have been used to. It is simple, elegant and more durable than most other finishes. I use heavy aluminum bearings on the base. They are wider than other bearings that you will see, which makes them much more stable. No need to tip and spill the sauce. These are made to order and take the time to do well.
Depending on the load of my order, I can usually release them in 3-4 weeks, but may be longer. I won't ship it just to get it out.
If it's not right, I'll take the time to fix it. I'm sending photos for your approval before shipment. This will probably survive you, and it takes time. If you need a different size or something, please send me a message. I like personalized work, and I'm happy to work with you to do something super cool.
