Old Wrought Iron Crown, Meat Hooks, Old Kitchen Decoration

  

Also called meat crochet, deli crochet. Very old, late 18th century.

These wreaths were used to dry the deli in them. Large mansions, castles and French manor very often installed near the fireplace. The tip of a hook was broken a long time ago but we did not want to restore it so as not to damage the authenticity of this crown if not excellent condition. 5 outer hooks and 4 hooks inside the circle. Circle diameter 22.5 cm // 8.85. Height 25 cm // 9.84.
