I make this product from 100% red oak hardwood and is engraved. I offer two other hardwoods: walnut and mahogany (selectable in the drop-down list). What does this mean for you? Do not place this board on a hot stove or over an open flame. The board is made of wood and is flammable.

Allow the electric range to cool before putting the lid back on top. It's not supposed to be a cutting board (it's also a free country so do what you want, just know that the surface will suffer cutting damage).
