Large colander or kitchen skimmer made of brass and iron. A fine example of antique domestic metal goods from the late 18th/early 19th century. The beautifully crafted iron handle has a shepherds hook at one end and a well-formed cradle at the other to take the large skimmer-shaped plate in the shape of a shallow brass dish. Dimensions: 25 inches long, 7.5 inches in diameter.
