Batik snowflake applies table runner featuring batik island fabrics, and snowflakes cut with the accuquilt go matrix cutting system, which were embroidered on. I used the embroidery machine to finish the applique, and aurifil 40 cotton yarn wt. The fabrics extend in shades of blue, and feature snowflakes, trees, star design, small flowers, dots and swirls, and range from navy to light blue. The central fabric is shades of cream with blue swirls, and the snowflakes seem to swirl gently and twirl as the go towards the darkest fabrics. It was a challenge to make a table top for a holiday for the ambassadors of the island batik.

I've been a member of this elite group for over 5 years, and really enjoy creating something with gorgeous fabrics. The holder is a dark blue fern print, and the stick is made of warm natural cotton. The binding is bluebird, a shade of blue that works so well with the shadow effect of others. I quilted it into an all-over snowflake design, using aurifil 40-3, a varied 3-fold cotton yarn made for long arm quilt machines, in blues tones.

The quilt was made by the pro-stitcher computer in my handi-quilter amara. This measures 16 by 72, and would also make a beautiful bed runner, or the top of a piano, a buffet table or even as a hanging wall or door decoration. 100% cotton, cotton swab and cotton yarn.

Machine washing, cold water, and either hang to dry or tumble dry, over low heat, where it will get some texture and be softer.
